Request for Accommodation Based on English as a Second Language
Applicants for whom English is a second language may be eligible for additional time when taking the EPPP and/or the CPLEE. Applicants, however, must first take the TOEFL, iBT through the Educational Testing Services (ETS) before applying for accommodations. Those who took the exam before January 21, 2026 and received a score of 85 or below, and those who take the exam on or after January 21, 2026 and receive a certification score of 4.5 or below, will be allotted time–and-a-half (1.5x) when taking the examination.
TOEFL iBT scores are reported directly to the Board of Psychology and they must have been conducted within two years of the TOEFL application. Applicants must also complete and submit an accommodation request based on ESL (form) to the Board upon completion of their TOEFL iBT.
