Association for State and Provincial Psychology Board (ASPPB) - Clarus Access
Effective September 29, 2026, ASPPBĀ® is no longer using Certemy as its EPPP candidate registration portal. The new registration portal is Clarus. Candidates who had an existing Certemy account will receive a no-reply welcome email from asppb-noreply@em52.useclarus.com on September 29th, as all Certemy accounts will have been migrated into Clarus.
Access to Clarus is granted by the Board of Psychology once the Board approves an applicant to be eligible to take the EPPPĀ®. After approval, the Board will create the applicant's account on Clarus. The applicant will then receive an invitation email from Clarus with login instructions to access their Clarus profile and complete the EPPP registration requirements.
Candidates that do not receive notification from Clarus are encouraged to check their spam/junk mail folders or contact the Board's Examination Coordinator to request a new invitation to Clarus and exam assignment. A new exam assignment can only be granted if an applicant's eligibility has not expired or been withdrawn. Candidate eligibility is determined by the Board's Licensing Unit. For any questions regarding eligibility, please call (916) 574-7720 ext. 4 or contact the Board..
When accessing Clarus, it is best to use Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Before login, clear browser history and ensure that there are not any security measures in place that can block the site. Using home internet is usually the best option. For any issues accessing Clarus, please contact Exams@asppb.org for support.
After accessing Clarus, candidates are required to complete the registration in its entirety before they can schedule their exam. This process includes attesting to having reviewed several documents referencing policies and procedures related to ASPPB and EPPP exams. When registration is successfully completed, candidates will be directed to Pearson Vue to schedule their exam.
It is important to note that candidates will not have the option to view exam dates prior to paying for the exam. Once the exam fee is paid, the fee is non-refundable.
Applicants are eligible to take the exam for one year after approval is given. If the eligibility period expires, applicants are required to mail a new application for licensure and fee to the Board and be reapproved for the exam. The licensure application is available on the Board's website at https://www.psychology.ca.gov.
Exam scores will be updated with the Board once a week, every Wednesday. For those that failed the EPPP within their one-year eligibility period are automatically granted a new 12-month eligibility period from the date the exam was last taken. New eligibilities, and retake eligibilities, and transferred to Clarus every Thursday. Candidates can access their new assignment in Clarus by Friday.
